Ski Terrain: Some of the best and most advanced ski terrain of any hut in California.  The North Lake Hut may be the most basic hut in the state but it more than makes up for it with some of the best terrain.  The area around the hut is characterized by big mountains and steep couloirs.  There is some terrain for intermediate skiers but the majority of the terrain lends its self for more advanced skiing and ski mountaineering terrain.

Hut Detail:  The North Lake Hut is a big mountain skiers hut.  It has few frills but the basic nature of the hut is more than made up for by the terrain that it accesses. It is a fabric insulated building with bunk beds and a small cook and prep kitchen.

It has a fully stocked kitchen with large propane tanks.

Guests to the North Lake Hut should plan on bringing sleeping bags, sleeping pads, and hut shoes along with all of their personal equipment.
